We grow very few hybrids at the nursery but make an exception for this stunning primary hybrid between Bulbophyllum longissimum and Bulbophyllum rothschildianum.
The dramatic flowers have the gorgeous red colouring from B. rothschildianum and the very long sepals of B. longissimum.
The flowers also have the interesting 'fresh fish scent' common to the parents and perfect for their fly pollinators. Plants are compact but can grow into impressive specimens relatively quickly.
Plants are straight forward to grow and we grow both in our cloud forest greenhouse (min 12C) and indoors (min 17C)
