Masdevallia striatella

Masdevallia striatella is a small growing but vigorous orchid species native to Costa Rica, Panama and Venzuela where it is found in wet forest across a wide altitudinal range which explains its tolerance of warm and cool temperatures.

We grow the species in our Cloud Forest Greenhouse (minimum 12C) although it would be happy grown warner indoors.  Plants grow throughout the year and will need to be kept moist all year. Indoors we water plants every two days and in the greenhouse plants get water most days.
