Coelogyne x intermedia is a natural hybrid between Coelogyne cristata and Coelogyne flaccida. It is a vigorous plant with sprays of long lasting fragrant flowers.
We grow plants among our Coelogyne cristatas in our Himalayan greenhouse (min 7C) and they are suitable for growing indoors in a cool room or conservatory.
As with most orchids from this himalayan habitat the cultural requirement is to replicate the monsoon climate with lots of water and food in the summer months from May to October and a cooler and dryer winter although we never let plants dry out too much in the winter as the habitat we have explored in Sikkim remains damp at Coelogyne elevations.
