This delightful miniature cymbidium is native to cool wet forest from South East Asia through Assam to China. Plants are really compact with broad leaves up to 20cm high from plump pseudobulbs. Flower spikes carry two to five large dramatic flowers.
Plants grow a few thick roots each year and we find that success withy plants depends on looking after those roots with clean open compost and keeping slugs and snails well away.
Our plants are all seed raised from the plant shown in photo 1 by our old greenhouse in Radstock.
