Masdevallia nidifica is a floriferous small growing Masdevallia with pretty little striped flowers.
Masdevallia nidifica is native to wet forests from Costa Rica all the way down to Peru and has been recorded at altitudes between 450m and 2500m which means that this species has a wider natural range North to South and Up to Down of all our Masdevallias.
The wide natural range has resulted in considerable variation in the species and our clone is the red variety of the species.
The wide range also explains its tolerance of warm and cool temperatures which makes this an easy and rewarding species to grow.
